Touchless church check-in: What it is & why more churches are switching

Touchless church check-in allows families to check their children into Sunday classes using a mobile device or pre-generated QR code, reducing physical contact and eliminating long lobby lines. By replacing shared touchscreens with a self-service digital system, churches speed up Sunday drop-offs while improving security. When integrated into a central church management database, check-in data updates attendance records instantly, helping ministry teams keep families connected across small groups, giving, and weekly events.

Year-end giving: Why your church should start preparing today!

Churches should start preparing their year-end giving campaign in September or October—not December—because over 30% of annual church donations arrive in this single month, making it the most consequential fundraising window of the year. Early preparation gives ministries time to reevaluate their 2027 budget, identify urgent needs like building repairs or mission trips, build an accurate year-end impact report (made faster with tools like Trends AI), and write content in advance. Starting early also protects church staff from holiday burnout by keeping year-end giving from colliding with Advent and Christmas responsibilities.
